4.1 Bass & Multichannel information While a big church organ like this one has an extremely deep bass, we have on this recording taken the advantage of the LFE (sub-woofer) channel. In order to do this we let Jörgen Thuresson custom make a special electronic crossover network at 24dB/octave according to the principal of Linkwitz-Riley. The crossover allocates all frequencies below 60 Hz to the LFE and all above to the left and right front channels. As an advice to owners of an active sub-woofer, please set the crossover adjustment well above 60 Hz so as not to affect the matching with the front channels. The center channel has not been used on this recording. |
